THE AUDITIONS
How to Audition: You may audition by uploading a video of yourself singing and, at your option, dancing
to one of the official audition songs listed on the program website (a "Video Audition"). Rules for the
audition procedures are listed below. You must follow the general audition requirements below. All
rules and procedures are subject to change at Producer's sole discretion.
What to Sing for Your Audition: You must sing one of the songs from the list to be provided at
www.onethespot.cambio.com either: (i) without music (i.e., a cappella); or (ii) with live music as performed
by you using a musical instrument. If you are called back, you may be asked to sing more songs (and
they may be different) and you may be asked to dance.
What to Wear for Your Audition: Please do not wear any clothing items bearing designer, sports or any
other logos or brand names, copyrighted images, the name or likeness of a celebrity (living or dead) or
inappropriate messages or words (for example, profanity). If you have any tattoos that contain designer,
sports or any other logos or brand names, copyrighted images, the name or likeness of a celebrity (living
or dead) or inappropriate messages or words (for example, profanity), please cover the tattoo(s) in your
Video Audition. If you wear such clothing or fail to cover such tattoo(s) in a Video Audition you may be
disqualified, i.e. you may not be eligible.
Judging Criteria: Auditions will be held through Video Auditions in order to identify approximately twenty
(20) competitors (the “Semi Finalists”) who will then participate in a series of online competitions. From
those Semi Finalists, between eight (8) and twelve (12) participants will be chosen to participate in a boot
camp weekend for the Program. Auditions will be judged based upon vocal and dance talent, on-camera
presence, visual appeal, enthusiasm, personality, communication and style. All decisions regarding
casting will be made by the Producer, Johnny Wright and/or their designees in their sole discretion. The
Producer , Johnny Wright and/or their designees may take into account the opinions of any or all of the
voting audience, and/or other judges or experts, if applicable. Applicants who submit a Video Audition will
be notified on or about February 10, 2011 by email if they have been selected to continue in the audition
process on a rolling basis. Applicants who do not receive a call back will not receive any communication
from the Producer. If any applicant cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted, or if
he or she is found to be ineligible, or if he cannot or does not comply with these Audition Requirements,
or if he or she cannot participate in or travel to callbacks or all rounds of competition for the Program, the
applicant may be disqualified and another participant may be selected.
Paperwork: You are required to fill out, sign and agree to all of the terms and conditions of the
Producer's required forms. The forms will be available on the Producer's website at
www.onthespot.cambio.com. Participants who submit a Video Audition will be asked to provide
the required information and agree to the terms and conditions during the video upload process.
If you advance in the competition, you will be required to fill out, sign and agree to all of the terms
and conditions of additional forms, including without limitation, our standard participant release, a
management contract, and/or a brand equity contract. You may also be subject to a thorough background
investigation and other examinations, all at Producer's sole discretion.
ALL FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND TRUTHFULLY. IF YOU FAIL TO
COMPLETE ANY FORM, GIVE ANY FALSE INFORMATION, OR FAIL TO REVEAL ANY PERTINENT
INFORMATION, YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE AUDITION PROCESS.
THE VIDEO AUDITION PROCESS
What to include in the Video Auditions: The Video Audition should only include a video recording
of you singing one of the songs designated at www.onethespot.cambio.com either: (i) a cappella (i.e.,
without music of any kind, recorded and/or played); or (ii) with live music as performed by you using a
musical instrument.
We are interested in your voice and performance and not flashy graphics and editing. Accordingly,
your performance should not be edited together from different takes, but should be one continuous shot
of you facing the camera and singing or dancing. Your Video Audition will be your only audition and we
encourage you to dress and perform as you would if you appeared before the judges in person. You
must also appear in the Video Audition alone; any Video Auditions in which any person other than the
candidate applicant appears may be disqualified.
Length of Video Auditions: You must sing the entire song for your voice Video Audition once, but in no
event can your voice Video Audition exceed three (3) minutes in length.
Submitting the Video Audition: You may only submit your Video Audition(s) by uploading your video
following the procedures set forth at www.onethespot.cambio.com.
Submission Deadline: The website will be available for Video Audition uploads beginning on
December 8, 2010. You must submit your Video Audition before 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on
January 31, 2011. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Producer shall have the right, at any time and in its sole
discretion, to extend and or revise the foregoing deadlines, and select participants who have submitted
Video Auditions after such deadlines.
YOU MAY SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE (1) VIDEO AUDITION, PROVIDED THAT EACH VIDEO
AUDITION CONTAINS A DIFFERENT SONG SELECTION FROM THE SONG LIST PROVIDED
ON WWW.ONTHESPOT.CAMBIO.COM. ANY ATTEMPT TO SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE (1)
VIDEO AUDITION OF THE SAME SONG SELECTION MAY RESULT IN YOUR IMMEDIATE
DISQUALIFICATION FROM CONSIDERATION.
If you have any assistance making your video, for example your friend helps operate the camera, you
must have that person's permission to submit your Video Audition.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
The following apply to Video Auditions:
Disqualifications: Producer reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in Producer's sole and
absolute discretion, any individual from any of the auditions for any reason or for no reason at all,
including without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules, or tampering with the entry process
or the audition process. We also reserve the right to change the rules and procedures at any time.
Being chosen to audition and/or compete at any level in the process does NOT ensure that you will
be selected to continue to the next stage. Please read Producer’s additional audition guidelines on
www.onthespot.cambio.com before proceeding with your Video Audition.
No Compensation: All transportation, video recording, and other expenses for those participating in
the audition will be the responsibility of the applicant. Transportation for those participating in subsequent
rounds of competition for the Program will be at the sole discretion and expense of the Producer. During
the audition process, no one, including without limitation those who audition and the chosen participants
who appear in the Program, will receive any monetary or other compensation whatsoever. The chosen
participants on the Program may be required to execute various contracts before they are allowed to
appear on the Program, including without limitation a management contract and/or brand equity contract,
and if any participant fails or refuses to do so, another participant may be chosen. If any such contracts
provide for compensation, the participants on the Program shall be solely responsible for all taxes on
such compensation including income taxes.
General Conditions: By participating, applicants agree to be bound by these rules (which Producer
may change at any time in its sole discretion) and the decisions of Producer, the voting audience, and
the panel of judges (if applicable) and/or the decision of Johnny Wright, which shall be final and binding.
Your presence in the Video Audition constitutes your consent and agreement to the recording and use
of your performance, appearance, name, voice, singing voice, likeness and any musical or sound effects
produced by you for use in connection with any television program, motion picture or the Internet for all
purposes (including advertising, marketing, promotion, merchandising and the exploitation of any and all
ancillary and subsidiary rights), as the same may be edited, in all media now known or hereafter created,
throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no compensation, unless otherwise required by law.
Producer and the production personnel for the Program, Cambio, participating websites, advertising
agencies or any person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of the
auditions or the Program, or any of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents
or representatives are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) any technical failure of the
website including any failure to upload a video, the loss, deletion, or destruction of any video audition for
any reason, or failure to evaluate the audition; (ii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused
by participating in the auditioning process or being selected to or disqualified from continuing in the
auditioning process and/or the Program; or (iii) any printing, typographical or technological errors in any
materials or systems associated with the auditioning process, including but not limited to service failures,
service interruptions, or security breaches. NO WEAPONS, ALCOHOL OR NON-PRESCRIPTION
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES WILL BE PERMITTED AT ANY STAGE OF THE AUDITION PROCESS
